We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education & Languages:

Assistant Academic Support Officer (E&L) (Ref: 25000H4)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • handling the day-to-day operations of the programmes/courses offered by the School (including answering of enquiries, programme admissions, teaching practicum support, liaison with internal and external parties, updating of webpages);
  • providing frontline services for students and visitors;
  • supporting committee work, daily activities and events of the School; and
  • performing any other duties as assigned.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • Have attained at least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE (or equivalent), including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics, preferably with a recognized bachelor’s degree;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • effective organization skills, able to attend to details, and capable of multi-tasking;
  • Competency in computer skills (including WORD, EXCEL and Chinese word processing);
  • Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua);
  • A strong sense of responsibility and motivation, and be able to work independently as well as in a team;
  • previous experience in Graphic Design will be beneficial; and
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in general administration / supporting services in educational settings.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a trade test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
