Salary: HK$11,200 per month

Entry Requirements:Applicants should –
(a) be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(b) be full-time students in the 2nd year or above of undergraduate study in Chinese Medicine or Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine in post-secondary institutions;
(c) have good command of Chinese and English; and
(d) preferably have relevant part-time work experience in Chinese medicine sector.

Duties:The Summer Intern will be deployed -
(a) to conduct research related to Chinese medicine and compile research materials;
(b) to provide logistics support to stakeholder engagement events and meetings with Chinese medicine sector;
(c) to assist in following up with the views and opinions gathered from various events and meetings; and
(d) to perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Terms of Appointment:The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms from June to August 2025 (one to three months) in the Health Bureau.

Fringe Benefits Rest days, statutory holidays, general holidays, sickness days, where appropriate will be granted to successful candidates in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

How to apply: (a) Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions. They are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions.
(b) Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download application forms on the website of the Civil Service Bureau. Completed application form should be accompanied by copies of academic transcripts of current study and certificates of HKDSEE / HKCEE / HKALE or equivalent and posted to the address below via the applicant’s institution or by the applicant together with the original copy of a reference letter confirming the applicant’s current status as a student issued by his/her respective institution by 3 April 2025 (according to postmark). Please mark “Application for Summer Intern (Chinese Medicine Unit)” on the envelope.
(c) If candidates fail to provide the supporting documents as requested, their applications will not be considered. Applications not made in the prescribed form or which are incomplete or late will not be considered.
(d) To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will be returned to the senders or disposed of by the Hong Kong Post. Applications returned to the sender due to insufficient postage must be resubmitted on or before the closing date and time.
(e) Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about six to eight weeks from the closing date for application. All applications will be treated in strict confidence. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
