JOB SCOPE

Assist Assistant Reservations Manager and Reservations Manager in providing training and supervision for Reservations staff. To coordinate with the Commercial Department to Reservations operation and be responsible for the discipline of department. He or she should take up the responsibilities of the Assistant Reservations Manager during his/her absence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Assistant Reservations Manager to manages the daily operations of Reservations;
  • Handle all reservations enquiries via emails, calls and prepare reservations confirmation letter;
  • Ensure fulfillment of needs and requirements of guests who obtained prior reservations;
  • Input all FIT / Group reservations from travel agents, online travel agents, corporate and individuals;
  • Track all reservations picked up from all online channels like hotel website, online travel agents etc.;
  • Records and files all reservation correspondence neatly and accurately on prescribed forms or folders;
  • Verify the reservation correspondence accurately and neatly and follow up for any missing correspondence before guest arrival;
  • Actively listen to and resolve complaints;
  • Provide training and supervision for Reservations staff, monitor their daily job tasks;
  • Provide training to casuals and trainee, same as a mentor;
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by the superiors;
  • Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superiors.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Reservations Supervisor.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree / Diploma holder in Hospitality Management or related discipline;
  • Minimum 6 years of working experience in Reservations, preferable at least 1 years in supervisory or managerial level;
  • Good in spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese;
  • Familiar with PMS is preferred, knowledge of Opera/Cambridge is a definitely advantage.

PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Good problem solving and guest complaint handling skills;
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Well-organized, detail-minded, self-motivated and multi-tasking;
  • Good telephone manner;
  • Good computational skills.
