Out client, one of the leading Investment Banks in Hong Kong, are actively seeking a strong QA Engineer to join their team and assist with the testing & quality assurance as the firm continues to enhance, roll out, and deliver their trading platforms for the Equities markets across Asia.

The Role:

• Work closely with the team & SMEs to understand and verify business requirements, functional- and non-functional specifications.
• Hands-on design & execution of test cases, as well as functional- and non-functional testing for the trading applications, order management systems, DMA etc.
• Assist and help the QA Team with pre-release testing & estimation (evaluating and communicating the risks to the QA Manager, colleagues and project stakeholders).
• Help drive the adoption of best practices, principles and ongoing improvement of the bank's existing Quality Assurance / processes / practices.

What You Offer:

• At least 3 to 4+ years of hands-on, technical experience managing QA and UAT test environments for global (or regional) projects & organisations.
• Manual and functional / non-functional black box testing (any test automation experience would be a plus).
• Excellent communication skills in English. Written & spoken Chinese (Cantonese) is also a plus.
• Prior experience in Banking and Financial Service e.g. front office trading applications, cash / electronic trading applications, FIX protocol a definite advantage (not a must).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related).
• A strong work ethic, self driven and - with suitable guidance - capable of learning also highly desired.
