Our client is a leading financial institution, and they are currently looking for a highly experienced Senior Vice President of IT to lead and oversee all aspects of our IT infrastructure and application management. This role is crucial in establishing robust IT operations and ensuring seamless connectivity with market participants. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in financial institutions, stock exchanges, and custodial services, with a proven track record in launching new operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy : Develop and implement the strategic vision for IT operations, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
• Infrastructure Management : Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
• Application Oversight : Manage all application-related activities, including selection, deployment, and ongoing support to enhance operational efficiency.
• Market Connectivity : Establish and maintain robust connectivity with market participants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Team Development : Lead and mentor IT operations teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Project Management : Oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
• Risk Management : Identify potential risks within IT operations and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and data.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with senior leadership and external partners to drive IT initiatives and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a financial institution, stock exchange, or custodial environment.
• Proven Track Record : Demonstrated experience in setting up new IT operations and managing complex projects in a regulated environment.
• Technical Skills : Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, application development, and cybersecurity practices.
• Leadership Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
