Job Responsibilities:

Strategies Development

  • Direct the technical teams in proposing and outlining system architecture for all systems, and monitor and control system implementations and enhancements.
  • Lead and complete technology proof of concept activities to confirm solution architecture with satisfactory performance and high degree of scalability, reliability and maintainability.

Solution Architecture Review and Endorsement

  • Provide optimal technical solution designs and application architecture with cross-team collaboration with developers, analyst, architects and IT operators;
  • Develop approaches to improve system designs, strengthen system robustness, enhance system monitoring measures and streamline delivery of systems;
  • Resolve complicated system integration issues with effective technical solutions;
  • Plan and organize upgrade roadmap of legacy applications and system interfaces;
  • Modernize legacy system designs, database architecture and cloud infrastructure;
  • Promote DevSecOps practices and data strategy; and 
  • Build system development roadmap for continual and effective adoption of latest technologies.

Risk Management

  • Identify, manage and mitigate IT related risks including but not limited to risks in projects, IT operations, services and products provided to card holders and service providers.
  • Develop and implement risk management process in the department.
  • Investigate technical incident and security breach, if any, and provide resolutions.
  • Instill strong risk and compliance culture into every level and create strong sense of accountability.

Product Realisation

  • Solve client problems from technological perspectives with an application architecture, data architecture, infrastructure, or end-to-end solution architecture.
  • Provide strategic architectural advices ensuring consistency, completeness, correctness, and opportunities for re-use.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to identify and translate business into software architecture, design documentation or infrastructure.
  • Ensure the development of internal and external documents, and respective evolution into recommended workable solutions are in good quality.
  • Contribute to knowledge management by sharing knowledge and best practices within the organisation to enhance organisation quality, profitability and market share.
  • Evaluate the cost effectiveness and alignment of products to company business and IT strategy.
  • Manage development teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the internal or external clients’ requirements
  • Liaison with relevant parties on user requirements, UAT testing, implementation and deployment.

Security Engineering

  • Establish the overall enterprise-wide security architecture.
  • Integrate security principles, methods and techniques into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Align security architecture with business needs.
  • Liaise with TEC teams and review security design.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Information Security, IT, Computer Science or other related disciplines
  • Certification in one of the Enterprise/IT Architecture Frameworks or Programs is preferred
  • A minimum of 12 years of IT experience especially in defining long-term technological architecture for organizations to pursue.
  • Experience in system architectural design or implementation for large-scale systems.
  • Good knowledge of industrial good architectural design practice to guide the organisation to meet contemporary technological requirements.
  • Knowledge in the software development process or systems development life cycle (SDLC) and proven troubleshooting skills and problem solving skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills and good stakeholders communications skills.
