We are seeking to recruit a Billing Administrator to join our growing Finance team. The ideal candidate will report to the Billing Analyst and Head of Finance and must be detailed oriented and proactive team player with a desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional professional service are essential for success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Prepare and post invoices and send statements, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines;
•    Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and secretaries to promptly resolve any billing queries or discrepancies;
•    Identify and resolve any internal billing or time-charging inaccuracies impacting bill processing;
•    Proactively escalate and communicate billing issues to the Billing Analyst and Head of Finance;
•    Establish a working knowledge of the electronic billing cycle to resolve accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing discrepancies;
•    Assist with following up on accounts receivable balances;
•    Maintain the highest level of customer service;
•    Perform unbilled and billed reconciliations for complex accounts across multiple service lines;
•    Gather and organize supporting documentation for expense charges;
•    Prepare reports in Excel and assist with special projects as required;
•    You may also be required to perform additional duties and projects related to the role as assigned by the Billing Manager or the Head of Finance.

Requirements:

•    A minimum of five years of relevant experience;
•    Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field;
•     Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally within the firm and with clients regarding billing issues;
•     Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of reliability and discretion;
•     Ability to produce accurate work under strict deadlines while managing competing priorities;
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
•    Ability to self-manage and work independently;
•    Experience working in a multi-jurisdictional professional services organization or function is advantageous;
•    Experience with Time and Billing software (experience with Aderant is advantageous).

Salary and Benefits:


We offer an attractive salary commensurate with experience, plus eligibility for overtime, 20 days leave per calendar year and statutory health and pension benefits.
