Job Summary:

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust compliance program that aligns with the evolving regulatory landscape of Web3 technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized systems, as well as a strong grasp of global regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of navigating the complexities of compliance in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:

o Monitor and interpret regulatory developments related to blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and Web3 technologies.

o Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

o Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate compliance risks.

2. Risk Management:

o Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.

o Collaborate with internal teams to address and mitigate identified risks.

o Stay abreast of emerging risks and trends in the Web3 space.

3. Training and Education:

o Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees and stakeholders.

o Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance-related matters.

o Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization.

4. Reporting and Documentation:

o Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities.

o Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance policies.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

o Liaise with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.

o Represent the company in compliance-related discussions and forums.

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

6. Incident Management:

o Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and incidents.

o Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

o Report significant compliance incidents to senior management and relevant authorities.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) is a plus.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the blockchain, cryptocurrency, or fintech industry.

· In-depth knowledge of global regulatory frameworks governing blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and Web3 technologies.

· Strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and data privacy regulations.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

· High level of integrity and professionalism.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and smart contracts.

· Familiarity with compliance software and tools.

· Proven track record of managing compliance in a startup or high-growth environment.
