Licensed Aircraft Engineer


Responsibilities:


Your primary duties will include performing and, where necessary, supervising maintenance on ACHKC aircraft to ensure that the work done meets the required quality standards and that the Club’s aircraft are safe to fly. You will ensure the airworthiness and safety of ACHKC aircraft following approved methods of the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong (“CAD”), Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEM”) and ACHKC policies.


You will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections and repairs on the ACHKC’s fixed-wing (Cessna 152 and 172) and rotary-wing (Robinson R22 and R44) aircraft systems and components, including:


Ø Undertaking projects and tasks related to the maintenance of aircraft;

Ø Implementation of FAA Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Aircraft / Engine Manufacturers’ Service Bulletins (SBs);

Ø Document control, including aircraft records, manuals and maintenance schedule updates;

Ø Ensuring the completion of high-quality work related to the Club’s aircraft, their components and accurate documentation of tasks completed;

Ø Exercising approval related to everyday processes and inspection;

Ø Conducting duplicate inspections, where necessary;

Ø Efficient scheduling of maintenance activities for the Club’s aircraft, as well as private aircraft of Club members maintained by the ACHKC;

Ø Weekly rostering of maintenance staff;

Ø Undertaking 50 hour / 100 hour / annual checks in accordance with OEM specifications and CAD approved Aircraft Maintenance Schedule (AMS);

Ø Issuing Certificate of Release to Service (CRS), Certificate of Maintenance Review (CMR) and Certificate of Fit for Flight (CoFF) of aircraft following maintenance and repair when simple tests prove that the aircraft are in working order;

Ø Spares management, including ensuring the availability of aircraft spares and consumables;

Ø Effective tool control and tool calibration management;

Ø Ensuring the promotion and practice of a culture of safety among the maintenance team, including the provision of in-house technical, safety and Safety Management System (SMS) training; and

Ø Engaging in activities that improve quality.


Skills and Experience:


Candidates should have a hands-on approach to work, with the ability to work unsupervised and a good working knowledge of the regulations and requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, Health & Safety and Human Factors.


Candidates with a background in general aviation with a minimum of five years operational experience gained working for an Approved Training Organization (“ATO”) in the maintenance of fixed-wing and / or rotary-wing aircraft will be prioritized.


The ability to work in a small team and good communication skills would be advantageous when providing aircraft status reports to your supervisors.


Qualifications / Licenses:


Current HKAR-66 B1.2 and / or B1.4 license is a minimum requirement. However, both B1.2. and B1.4 licenses would be preferred. These licenses should include the following aircraft types:


An HKAR-66 B1.2 License should include:

­          Cessna C152

­          Cessna C172


An HKAR-66 B1.4 license should include:

­          Robinson R22

­          Robinson R44


ACHKC Background:


The ACHKC is a training organization, which operates operating both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and provides flight training to a PPL standard. The Club currently operates Cessna C152, Cessna C172, Robinson R22 and Robinson R44 aircraft for both student training and private flying in Hong Kong. These aircraft are maintained by the Club’s own Group M3 Maintenance approved organization, with its main hangars located at Shek Kong airfield.
