Lab Academy is an education centre that places utmost importance in developing children's love and right attitude towards learning. We have a 20 year track record that goes beyond language training. Our aim is to broaden students' understanding of various fields while increasing their confidence in the English language.

JOB DUTIES
Teaching English (Max 5 students in each class)
Take care of young children and control their classroom
Keep track of lesson plans, student progress, and teaching materials in an orderly manner
Effectively plan lessons, manage classroom activities, and ensure that all topics are covered within the allotted time
Maintain good level of communication with parents and teachers
Build a positive relationship with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress
Provide and follow up on clear and effective tips and resources for parents to support learning at home
Inspire students and parents to stay committed and consistent with the learning process
Work closely with other teachers by sharing resources, ideas, and best practices
Report and share class details with supervisors
Help in developing new curriculum
JOB REQUIREMENT
2 to 3 years of solid experience teaching English courses with children (4 years old and up)
Passionate about developing children’s overall language and social skills
Passionate and committed to education and mentoringstudents and their parents
Able to prepare for classes in advance and be able to follow up with the progress of lessons meeting developmental timelines
Able to pay attention to children’s body language, facial expressions, and behaviour to gauge their understanding and engagement
Able to recognise specific students learning obstacles and help students overcome them
Be flexible to adjust teaching methods based on students' needs, learning styles, and classroom dynamics
Able to recognise and manage one's own emotions as well as understand and respond to students' emotions
Experience teaching both face to face, Zoom and hybrid classes
Able to work on Saturdays
Able to interview in Hong Kong
University graduate. Preferably on an education related field or social sciences
TEFL/TESOL or similar certificate holder preferred
Fluent verbal and written English
Able to speak Cantonese or Mandarin a plus
WORK SCHEDULE
Full Time: Tuesdays to Saturdays (5 Days Work)
Yearly Schedule
The centre is closed for 6 weeks of the year (distributed along major holidays except Summer)
