The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Manager to join our finance team. This position is primarily focused on full set of accounts and is ideal for candidates with 10 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with NetSuite and working with outsourced accounting firm or shared service center is a plus. The successful candidate will contribute to our financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, financial and accounting reporting, statutory audit and tax filing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial/accounting reporting (weekly, monthly, annually) including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, GL and taxation.
  • Liaise closely with outsourced accounting firm and UK based Finance team for Hong Kong, Singapore and China’s accounting and finance matters.
  • Act as the coordinator with local tax bureau for responding to company related accounting enquires, GST and corporate income tax matters.
  • Monitor accounts receivable status and follow up on overdue client invoices.
  • Support client procurement processes including account creation, helping to facilitate RFP submissions through client administrative portals and ensuring timely invoicing of fees.
  • Responsible for client invoicing. Give instruction to outsourced accounting firm to issue client invoices on a timely manner.
  • Manage and process client/vendor setup to ensure that clients/vendors are properly onboarded for purpose of invoicing.
  • Review and process vendor invoices, including invoice verification, giving payment instruction to outsourced accounting firm and following up with UK finance for bank approval on payments. Responsible for vendor set-up, maintain all records.
  • Conduct review of employee and company expenses filings, including corporate account expenditures.
  • Approve journal entries, sales orders, purchase orders, expense reports in accounting system NetSuite on a timely manner.
  • Ensure outsourced accounting firm complete month end closing tasks on time, including but not limited to revenue recognition, currency revaluation, WIP reclass and intercompany balance confirmation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounting activities.
  • Responsible for month-end close activities, including Cartesis reports and other monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packs.
  • Reconcile client or vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices.
  • Liaise with auditors. Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of various financial/management reports and financial analysis.
  • Support IWO arrangements and setup for intercompany work, to ensure that payments between FGS entities are made in a timely and accurate manner according to services provided to clients.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency in the Hong Kong, Singapore and China finance function.
  • Supervise and provide training and coaching to subordinates.


Required Skills & Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 10 years of solid experience in full set of accounts and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferably with previous work experience at global MNCs environment with good English communication skills.
  • Industry experience in a professional or client servicing environment e.g. legal, PR agency, management consulting would be beneficial.
