Our client is a foreign private bank. They are now looking for a VP in their compliance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide client due diligence advisory and supervisory services for new account onboarding, periodic review, and triggering event review in accordance with the AML endorsement framework.
• Oversee the quality of KYC processes to guarantee adherence to the bank's standards and timelines.
• Monitor the status and completion of follow up actions arising from periodic reviews or other ongoing AML/CFT process.
• To proactively identify potential gaps in our current processes/policies against regulatory requirements, and bring up to management immediate attention.
• To keep abreast of new regulations and to update management and colleagues on impact of changes.
• To lead ad hoc projects, in particular, projects related to procedures development, process improvements, and control & system enhancements.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in KYC/ CDD/ regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance, preferably in a private banking
• In-depth knowledge of HKMA’s AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements and risk assessment practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
