JOB DESCRIPTION
Island School is seeking a dynamic and hands-on individual to manage our innovative Makerspace and Design Technology department. The STEM/Makerspace Technician will collaborate with teachers and fellow technicians to support both students and educators. Our department features traditional machine tools, hand tools, CAD/CAM laser cutters, CNC routers, and 3D printers, and is transitioning toward integrating electronics and control systems such as Microbit and VEX Robotics into the curriculum. Basic programming experience is advantageous.
This position is available in August 2025, and will start with a 2-year contract, subject to renewal to a permanent contract based on mutual agreement at the end of the contract period. It is a position with Annual Leave, MPF and Medical Insurance for the employee and eligible dependents.
