The Department
Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.

The Job
You will:
  • Delivering experiences and touchpoints for a unique customer journey.
  • Engaging with members during Clubhouse operation hours.
  • Managing a team of people whose priority is service excellence and Members’ engagement.
  • Provide administrative support while being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the Recreation Department. Ensure maximum Members satisfaction and adherence to standards required by the Club.
  • Assist supervisor in planning, promoting and organising sports and recreation activities in the Clubhouse. Oversee the operation and maintain the standards of the sports and recreation equipment.
  • Review the profitability and success of each activity scheduled with supervisor. Maintain accurate records in all aspects of the activities for future reference and improvement actions.
  • Provide courteous and professional services at all times when handling Members' enquires and complaints.
  • Work in close coordination with supervisor to ensure smooth operations of the recreation and changing rooms facilities pertaining to the daily operating supplies of guest amenities, laundry and bath towels. Monitor and control lockers and locker keys, including proper follow-up with lost locker keys.
  • Arrange for systematic and accurate input of Members’ charges in facilities usage and programmes. Prepare the monthly sales statement and facilities usage statistics.
  • Assist in the operation of the various recreational outlets in line with the needs of the Recreation Department as required.
  • Provide support to the Sports and Leisure Co-ordinators and Sports and Leisure Attendants in serving Members and their guests for check-in and checkout of the changing rooms, facility reservation and general administration center around the reception counter. Enforce HKJC bylaws in an effective and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all facilities in the changing rooms are properly maintained, report and follow up all matters arisen that may reasonably affect the changing rooms’ users and normal operations, such as emergency break-down of sauna, toilet flush system, and that lost items are handled following the established "Lost and Found" procedures.
  • To assist in promoting various programmes, facilities and services of the Clubhouse and report any irregularities.
  • Perform any other related duties as and when assigned by supervisor.

About You
You should have:
  • A Degree or Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Management or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the leisure or recreation fields.
  • Strong in leadership, excellent interpersonal skills with initiatives to interact with customers and staff.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Hands-on experience in MS Office applications.
