Reporting to the Chief Marketing Office (Wealth and Asset Management, Asia), with a matrix reporting to Regional Head of Brand, Content and Sponsorship (Insurance Segment, Asia), the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving the regional content strategy for our wealth and asset management business, and insurance segment.

In partnership with Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, Strategists, Business, Marketing and Distribution teams, the successful candidate will seek to provide content leadership, customer-centric strategic direction and facilitate business-relevant content discussions among local markets in Asia, and stakeholders across our retail, retirement, insurance and institutional segments. The candidate will also be part of the global editorial leadership.

We’re looking for someone who sees an opportunity to change the way content marketing is done and has the drive and talent to make it happen. Financial services experience and/or Asia experience preferential providing you can still challenge and think beyond the category norms.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive longevity, health and wealth thought leadership across Asia, being a subject matter expert on our focused investment strategies, wealth, health and asset management capabilities as well as multi-year longevity theme, contributing to promoting our integrated capabilities that cover income franchise, investment, protection and retirement solutions.
  • Develop talents and provide coaching and guidance for content writers and content marketing managers to build highly relevant regional content strategies with strong consideration for each local market’s target audience and propositions.
  • Facilitate business and subject matter experts’ conversations to synthesize compelling marketing and investment angles.  
  • Develop high-quality, relevant, and customer-centric content for captive and partnered distributions.
  • Organize and effectively manage editorial and content budget, content calendar and content partners, effectively aggregate content from across the region, explore and drive synergy and efficiency across business units to maximize content mileage and engagement across different markets and different platforms.
  • Drive content performance through the funnel from building awareness and driving consideration, to nurturing prospects and engaging customers.
  • Develop KPI models and performance dashboard for tracking content performance, design and execute a test and learn roadmap to determine optimum delivery and orchestration of personalized content through the funnel, via collaboration with Customer Experience teams, Digital, Analytics teams etc.
  • Collaborate with other wealth channels to explore promoting owned- or partnered-contents

Experience, qualifications and skills:

  • A minimum of 12 years’ experience of wealth and asset-management (or relevant content marketing and writing exposures), with proven success as a writer or content originators and relevant experience as a people leader in a regional role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, journalism, communications, or other relevant fields, firm understanding of wealth and investment concepts.
  • Relevant experience with public markets is required, private markets and alternatives is a plus.
  • A natural storyteller with exceptional creative skills and a journalistic mindset to continually generate original content across a range of formats – from copy and infographics to video and audio – for different platforms and audiences.
  • A strong collaborator who can work across a global, regional, and local marketing structure, and build strong internal partnerships with cross functional stakeholders (local markets, distribution, digital etc.)
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing and proven experience working with such teams to connect content to a company’s performance marketing activity. Results driven to ensure that commercial outcomes are being delivered from content.
  • A solid understanding of content orchestration and personalization for different customer segments throughout the purchase journey.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English. Fluency in other Asian languages advantageous.
