Job Summary:
This role dedicates to providing safe and efficient tram services to the passengers. Commit to excellence in maintenance and innovation in the field of engineering. This role will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer (or Senior Engineering Manager).
Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, construction and maintenance of tramcar, including structure, pneumatic system, braking system, mechanical parts, wooden parts, etc.
Design and implement tram improvement projects.
Develop work instructions, operating procedures and test plan. Conduct risk assessment and reliability assessment.
Reverse engineering for tram parts
Project management. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the maintenance of tram depot facilities and machinery.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 3 years of hands-on work experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, preferably in a railway engineering environment.
Good knowledge in properties and applications of engineering materials.
Analytical with problem solving skills, creative, independent.
Proactive attitude. Good at decision making.
Membership of a recognised professional institution is an advantage.
Strong project management skills and communication skills.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Candidates with higher qualification or more experience may be considered as Senior Mechanical Engineer.
