Development Executive

Responsibilities

Report to the Deputy Executive Director (Admin & Development), and responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee the training and development programs, including the coaching affairs under the HKAAA.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of the Development Plan aimed at raising standards and broadening participation in athletics.
• Liaise with the SF&OC, LCSD, HKSI, and World Athletics on matters relevant to the development of Athletics.
• Prepare and submit annual budgets while providing regular reports on income and expenditure. Ensure timely reporting and compliance with the terms set by the related parties.
• Assist in convening various committee meetings and provide secretariat support.
• Skilled at mentoring and developing junior staff, encouraging professional growth and effective teamwork.
• Occasionally outdoor work for training and development programs is required.

Requirements:

• An accredited Degree / Association Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution / a Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university or the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent; Degree holder in Sports Management/ Social Science or an equivalent University is preferable; 
• Previous experience in sports development or a similar role is advantageous;
• Strong understanding of sports governance and development programs;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders;
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing;
• Candidates with extensive experience and qualification may be considered as Development Manager.
