Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring compliance with standards and profitable growth.
• Arrange annual reinsurance treaties and pricing strategies.
• Manage reinsurance details, including retention levels.
• Review and revise underwriting manuals, policies, and reinsurance strategies.
• Develop and enhance products, including revising policy terms and conditions, as well as implementing online and offline
• Oversee modifications to online sales systems, premium calculations, and policy issuance methods.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to handle business development and underwriting matters and appropriately respond to and address inquiries from the Insurance Authority.
• Prepare business plans to meet production and quality targets.

Requirements:

• Professional qualification such as IIQE/ANZIIF/ACII and related discipline
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in general insurance sales, servicing, underwriting, and business development functions with at least 5 years in managerial capacity
• Local general insurance market expertise with broad general insurance industry knowledge
• Excellent experience / understanding of class specific underwriting, product knowledge and policy documentation issuance and process
• Good technical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese, English and proficient in Mandarin
• Must be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Effective interpersonal & communication skills
• Able to work independently and work under pressure
