Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Editor, day to day manage a team of journalists to produce cutting edge daily and breaking news on the Asian Private Banker website
  • Produce regular editorial output in the form of stories, exclusives and long-form articles that are in-line with our editorial strategy and quality
  • Contribute to APB’s proprietary research datasets which currently include country and regional AUM tables and RM headcount tables
  • Build your own network of trusted of C-Suite professionals across the Private Banking, Family Office and IAM / EAM sectors across Asia-Pacific
  • Work closely with the Editor on the the judging criteria and selection process for APB’s series of industry-leading awards programmes, attending pitches from clients and helping to host awards winners functions
  • Engage with the event team on topic generation and market trends that result in cutting-edge conference and thought leader content throughout the year aimed at different markets
  • Moderate panel discussions at various events hosted by APB and conduct pre-panel calls to establish the framework for the conversation


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of senior journalism/deputy editor experience - financial background preferred
  • Some experience of managing reporters and day-to-day editing preferred
  • Demonstrable skills in developing meaningful and trusting relationships with C-Suite professionals
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to dissect data sets and provide compelling accompanying narrative around those sets
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Exceptional written and spoken English. Fluency in a major Asian language an advantage
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Experience with modern web analytics tools, social media, and newsletter platforms
  • Willingness to travel
