We are hiring: Hearing Specialist (Clinical Audiological Technician)

The responsibilities of a Hearing Specialist include:

l  Interview patients to learn their symptoms and medical histories;

l  Conduct screenings and tests to determine the severity and type of hearing impairment;

l  Analyze test findings to make diagnoses, then discuss possible solutions with patients;

l  Recommend and dispense hearing aids;

l  Instruct patients on how to use and maintain the hearing aids, providing demonstrations and information;

l  Assist audiologists with nonsurgical procedures designed to treat hearing disorders;

l  Modify hearing devices that have already been placed in patients’ ears to make them function or fit better;

l  Make Minor repairs (e.g. replace defective parts);

l  Teach patients aural rehabilitation techniques;

l  Receive continuing education and read professional publications to stay up-to-date on medical knowledge and techniques.

Qualification

l  Secondary 6 or above, with emphasis on science and technology

l  Sales or health-related knowledge and experience preferred but not required

l  Excellent communication and people skills

l  Good commands in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) and English

Monthly Salary and Fringe Benefits

l  HK$17,000 – HK$20,000 negotiable
