Our client is an asset management firm that specializes in quantitative investment strategies, they focus on global equities investment. As business continues to grow, they are setting up an operation in Hong Kong and looking for a RO (Responsible Officer) Type 9 to join the team.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the RO (Responsible Officer) Type 9 under the SFC in Hong Kong
• Assist in SFC license application and setting up the HK operations
• Work with other senior management to develop and implement business strategy for the firm
• As Responsible Officer to oversee and manage the firm’s compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist in liaising with regulators and answer their enquires and submissions
• Other RO tasks when necessary

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science or other disciplines
• At least 5 years of asset management industry preferably in Quant Fund
• Experience in discretionary account management or managed account
• Proven experience as a RO (Responsible Officer) Type 9
• Strong understanding of SFC regulations and requirements
• Good communication and analytic skills
• Flexibility to work in a smaller office environment especially at the start of the business
• Good English and Mandarin language proficiency
