The Position – Section Head, Human Resources :
Reporting to Head of Human Resources (H/HR), the major responsibilities of Section Head Human Resources include:
• Provide a full spectrum of human resources (HR) services, manage day-to-day HR operations in the Head Office (HO) in Hong Kong;
• Manage human resources and staff development strategies in alignment with the Council’s objectives and operations;
• Manage HR policies, practices and procedures, and provide guidance and advice on up-to-date people management approach;
• Enhance and implement best practices of HR processes through use of technologies;
• Manage a competitive and up-to-date compensation & benefit strategy and periodic reviews by undertaking related projects such as surveys, job evaluations, benefits review etc;
• Ensure manpower requirement is meeting the Council's needs through talent acquisition, staff deployment, staff retention and succession planning;
• Cultivate employee engagement, build rapport with staff and management, maintain harmonious and good employee relations;
• Handle any ad-hoc initiatives and projects as assigned.
The Candidate :
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:
• University graduate with a minimum of 10 years’ all-rounded experience in HR and HR business partnering of which a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managerial role in sizeable organisation(s);
• Proven track records of value-adding and work efficiently and effectively under a fast-paced environment;
• Knowledge and experience in organisation development, employee relations, recruitment and talent development, performance management, reward and compensation management and succession planning;
• An effective leader and excellent team player who is proactive and collaborative;
• An open, accessible personal style with high level of energy and commitment;
• Self-driven, positive, diplomatic and enjoys interacting with people at all levels;
• An analytical solution seeker with strong problem-solving skills who strives to deliver results;
• Dependable, multi-tasking with high level of ethics and confidentiality;
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese is essential;
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management or related field.
