Our client, a leading manufacturer known for partnering with various brands to design and produce bags, tool storage, luggage, and accessories, is seeking a dynamic Sales Director to oversee the APAC market. This role is crucial in driving sales and expanding market reach in key regions such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Southeast Asia.
Your Role
As the Sales Director, you will:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to boost sales of licenced bags and luggage products in the APAC region.
- Focus on major key accounts and large distributors to maximise sales opportunities.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while establishing new partnerships to broaden market presence.
- Lead and mentor the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Identify market trends and opportunities, providing valuable insights for product development and marketing strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to leverage growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with brand and product development teams to ensure alignment with market needs.
- Travel within the region to meet clients, attend trade shows, and explore new business opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in sales management, including retail and e-commerce, within the bags and luggage industry (or alternatively, footwear or apparel), with a focus on Southeast Asian markets.
- A strong network of contacts and relationships within the bags and luggage industry in Southeast Asia.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A strategic mindset with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in other Asian languages is a plus.
