Reporting to the Director of Operations / Deputy Director of Operations and assisting the Data Architect in data management for the School’s systems, including Student Information, Learning Management, Advancement (Fundraising), Alumni Relations, Admissions, Business systems, etc.

Summary:

The Data Analyst will provide data solutions and application support to Students, Parents, and Staff at the Chinese International School, ensuring data integrity and efficient data flow.

Essential

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a technology enterprise or educational SIS environment.
• Proficiency with educational institution applications like PowerSchool, Schoology or any other SIS and LMS systems. Knowledge of SchoolsBuddy, and FinalSite will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS, PHP, MySQL, Shell Scripts are added advantages.
• Intermediate/advanced with SQL and PowerSchool proprietary tags/code (PSHTML) will be beneficial.
• Planning database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, backup, and data recovery.
• Experience in educational Enterprise Applications and Database Integration.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different technologies to support school operations.
• Maintain appropriate system documentation on procedures and configurations.
• Demonstrated ability to diplomatically communicate with teachers, administrators, parents, students, and vendors.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing end-user support.
• Possess effective communication, judgment, planning, and human relations skills and can work under periods of stress due to the level of the position's responsibility.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team.

Educational Level:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree/work experience in a relevant field.
• Experience and proficiency with Oracle Database or other SQL-based databases.
• Proficiency in Excel, including a strong understanding of formulas, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and Tableau is an advantage.
