Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Financial Modeling:
- Conduct: quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate potential investment and acquisition opportunities.
- Develop: financial models, valuations, and scenario analysis using various methodologies.
- Prepare: investment analysis reports and support internal approval processes.
- Conduct: industry and company-specific research to assess market trends and risks.
Transaction Execution & Due Diligence:
- Support: end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, from deal origination to closure.
- Perform: due diligence, extracting key insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and investment teams to ensure compliance and alignment with corporate goals.
- Review and analyze investment agreements, M&A contracts, and fund structures for strategic fit.
Stakeholder & Post-Acquisition Management:
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support post-acquisition integration.
- Coordinate with relationship managers, global banking, commercial banking, risk, and compliance teams across different regions.
- Provide insights on executive compensation plans, including carried interest, stock options, and incentive structures.
- Track and report on investment performance and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Strategic & Market Awareness:
- Maintain awareness of global & Local market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments impacting M&A activities.
- Support senior management in pitching, structuring, and negotiating transactions.
- Identify new investment opportunities and contribute to the corporate growth strategy.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in M&A, due diligence, financial consulting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a Big Four firm or corporate finance is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business (CPA, CFA, or CIPD preferred).
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Strong commercial & financial acumen, with expertise in fund management, investment structures, and valuation methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and investment analysis.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex commercial operations, contracts, agreements, and financial statements
Soft Skills & Work Environment:
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English and Chinese preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Capable of working effectively in both team-based and independent settings.
- Comfortable working across different time zones and coordinating with global teams.
