Responsibilities
- Manage and control depot activities and maintenance work on passenger trains and depot services equipment to ensure service performance and availability
- Manage and plan all maintenance activities including both preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedule and within budget
- Plan, implement and monitor the progress of improvement works and projects to ensure that all activities are completed with safety, quality and cost effectiveness
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external interfacing parties to resolve various depot / train operational / technical / interface issues to maintain high level of quality services
- Ensure that emergency operations are well prepared by reviewing the performance of rescue team and adequacy of rescue equipment while deriving solutions and remedial actions to resolve the technical / operational / interface issues related to depot facilities / rolling stock vehicles
- Participate and provide input to various special task forces for asset management, in aspect of safety & reliability improvement, process streamlining and cost optimisation
- Monitor the implementation of all management systems to ensure safety of staff and contractor by providing and maintaining a safe working environment and procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at senior supervisory level
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution in Engineering is preferred
- Solid experience in depot operations / rolling stock maintenance and broad exposure in various engineering practices in a railway engineering environment is an advantage
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
