Our client, a global crypto exchange, is actively seeking a senior blockchain engineer to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will have strong exposure in open sourced blockchain application development using Golang or Rust. Candidates with leadership experience will be considered for a lead role.

The role:

• Engage in development activities, including proposing architectural decisions, participating in design and code reviews, and implementing solutions.
• Identify and resolve complex issues within the blockchain protocol.
• Analyze and address challenging problems throughout the blockchain protocol.
• Collaborate closely with operations and infrastructure teams to develop scalable backend services.
• Manage documentation detailing all code and functionalities implemented.
• Work in partnership with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to enhance the tech stack for long-term engineering goals.

What you offer:

• 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally with a focus on backend development (e.g., Go, Rust). Candidates with leadership experience will also be considered for a lead role.
• Proficiency in Golang or Rust.
• Experience with Cosmos SDK or Ethereum core development.
• Practical experience with basic cryptographic primitives (e.g., BouncyCastle in Java): digital signatures, key exchange, symmetric and asymmetric encryption.
• Fundamental knowledge of distributed systems and an understanding of consensus algorithms such as Raft or PBFT.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
• Research experience in areas related to blockchain and/or cryptography.
• Experienced with a range of technologies, quick to learn, and driven by a "get things done" attitude.
• Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate conflicting requirements from various stakeholders.
• Self-motivated individual who can define and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willing to learn, collaborate, and provide/receive constructive feedback.
