Our client, a global financial institution, are actively seeking a highly skilled C++ Exchange Connectivity Lead to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing exchange connectivity solutions that support their trading operations. Your expertise in C++ development and in-depth knowledge of financial systems will be crucial in ensuring efficient and reliable market access.

The role:

• Lead the design and development of high-performance C++ applications for exchange connectivity, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput communication.
• Collaborate with trading teams to understand their connectivity requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
• Optimize existing connectivity layer components for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and promote best practices within the development team.
• Work closely with network engineers and infrastructure teams to ensure robust data transmission and connectivity strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to exchange connectivity in a timely manner.
• Keep abreast of market trends, regulations, and advancements in technology to continuously improve connectivity solutions.

What you offer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in C++ development.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining exchange connectivity solutions in a financial environment.
• Solid understanding of trading systems, order types, and market data protocols.
• Familiarity with FIX protocol, exchange APIs, and low-level socket programming.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
