LIM Advisors Limited is looking for a junior fund operation professional to join the team as our Junior Operations Associate.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with team members to assist with all tasks related to Fund Accounting and Fund Settlement.
• Processing daily trade cycle and settlement follow-up.
• Perform daily and monthly cash and position reconciliations.
• Perform monthly NAV reconciliations.
• Prepare daily internal operation reports
• Back up operations for corporate action monitor
• Record trade or other fund related bookings within PMS system.
• Assist with the preparation of daily and monthly estimated NAV.
• Provide fund accounting information to internal and external parties.
• Assist with the daily and monthly securities pricing process.
• Liaise with fund administrator on cash payments.
• Arrange cash and stock transfer when required.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks for management reporting on AUM or other fund related assignments.

Qualifications and requirements:

• University or college degree is required with a preference for majoring in accounting, business, mathematics, finance, or economics.
• Minimum 2 years of Fund Accounting or Fund Operations/Settlement experience from either buy/sell side or trained as a professional. A combination of audit/accounting and fund accounting/operation experience will also be considered.
• Able to work under pressure, in a timely manner and high degree of attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Some knowledge on the trade life cycle and flow of the NAV preparation is required.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.
• Experience of using Bloomberg and relevant PMS systems is an advantage.
• Good language skills, English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin.
