The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new payment software and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable payment backend systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using the latest software engineering best practices
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment
• Mentor and lead junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Identify and implement performance optimizations to ensure the payment systems meet SLAs
• Proactively address technical debt and maintain the overall health of the codebase
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production issues in a timely manner

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience, more experienced candidate will be considered as Software Manager
• Proficient in Kotlin for backend and/ or android development
• Proficient in backend framework such as Spring Boot, experience with Ktor backend will be an advantage
• Proficient in RDMS like Postgres, MySQL
• Familiarity in cloud native technologies - AWS (EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, Fargate), Kubernetes and infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript/ TS (React/ NextJs) for frontend development is a plus
• Familiarity with SoftPOS, payment technology or mobile payment solutions is an advantage
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
