Job Description: Senior System Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to manage operations and projects within our servers and datacenter environments. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives such as datacenter redesign and boutique infrastructure enhancements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of servers and datacenter management.
• Lead projects focused on datacenter redesign and boutique infrastructure optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improve system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in virtualization platforms and concepts (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox).
• Strong understanding of server hardware and architecture.
• Hands-on experience in datacenter operations and management.
• Expertise in operating systems, specifically Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts.

Other Essential Skills

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and challenge stakeholders effectively.
• Self-motivated learner with a passion for technology.
• Experience with open-source ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Knowledge of storage technologies (e.g., SAN, Dell EMC, ZFS, TrueNAS, HCI).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Aliyun).
• Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
