Controller-Workshop
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the mechanical workshop in order to meet the promised completion time.
- Receive order from TSA/Reception, record, plan, organize and delegate work to different teams based on the standards set forth by the company.
- Monitor and control work process in accordance with the work schedule assigned.
- Ensure the workshop is running in full capacity so that no overloading or under loading will be existed.
- Handle Daily administration work
- Prepare and compile progress report
- Maintain and update workshop control log.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with staff of various sections within Service and Parts Divisions for provision of high standard of repair and maintenance services to customers.
- Train, develop, direct and motivate subordinates to provide quality mechanical services to customers.
- Review regularly the performance of subordinate against work standards and objectives set forth by the company.
- Ensure that all left over vehicles will be handed over to next shift properly.
- Notify TSA/Reception for CMR or any hindrances of the vehicle maintenance progress.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with vendors/suppliers for sourcing and supply of tools and paint materials.
- Obtain price quotations for all items purchased on regular basis so as to compare the actual prices with market prices.
- Bargain with vendors/supplies for the best prices and trading terms.
- Place order and arrange delivery of goods.
- Ensure that all goods delivered are correct with regard to quantity, quality and agreed price.
- Co-ordinate with vendors/suppliers for return of goods and obtain replacement on credits.
- Ensure continuity of supply by contracting, bulk buying etc. in advance.
- Ensure that all safety measures are provided to staff in compliance with the safety rules and regulations.
- Any other duties as instructed and/or required by direct supervisor.
