More About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and seasoned PR Consultant to join our agency and play a key role in implementing effective and efficient communications campaigns and daily PR tasks for our clients. The Consultant will be responsible for managing client relationships, crafting compelling PR messages, and delivering communications tasks with the team and by herself / himself. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver quality results. Additionally, the candidate should possess exceptional project organizational skills, critical thinking abilities, and a keen sense of current affairs. They will work closely with clients and the team to understand their communications objectives and deliver impactful PR campaigns that enhance their reputation and visibility in the market.
What You’ll Do
- Client’s first port of call for daily updates and immediate communications support.
- Ideas generation as well as development and implementation of industry-leading initiatives.
- Manage multiple PR projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and adherence to client expectations.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, columnists, editors, influencers, and other media contacts to secure media coverage for clients’ campaigns.
- Coordinate and manage media events, press conferences, and interviews, ensuring smooth execution and maximum media exposure.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on public relations matters, leveraging critical thinking skills and current affairs knowledge.
- Conduct research for potential brand partnerships, sponsorships and speaking opportunities for clients.
- Monitor industry trends and issues, or related government policies / initiatives to provide strategic communications counsel and timely recommendations to clients.
- Prepare and organize client meetings, press briefings, conferences, and client events.
- Draft press releases, organize conference calls and media events.
- Prepare and present regular reports on PR activities and results.
Experience That Contributes To Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Language and Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other related disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years’ PR experience, preferably with PR agency background.
- Strong media relations skills and network.
- Strong project organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client and team relationships.
- Critical thinking abilities to develop innovative PR ideas.
- Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation and results oriented.
- Strong written & oral English & Chinese.
- Proficient with Chinese Word & other Windows applications incl. Excel and PowerPoint.
