As a Corporate Communications Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of communication projects within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, to ensure the successful delivery of communication initiatives. You will build strong relationships with key government stakeholders, monitor local policies, advocate for DFI’s interests, and support the development of strategies to address regulatory challenges. Additionally, your role will involve crisis communication planning, engaging with local community organisations to enhance and support Sustainability and ESG related communications. This dynamic and fast-paced position requires strong organisational skills, attention to details, and excellent communication abilities. About the Role
- Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to execute group-wide communication strategies that align with DFI’s business goals and brand values
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government, regulatory bodies, and industry associations in Hong Kong
- Stay informed about industry trends, local government policies, regulatory trends, and legislative developments
- Manage crisis communications and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Represent the company by engaging with government entities and participating in relevant consultations and forum to enhance the brand and reputation
- Monitor both internal and external sentiment and manage crisis communications to protect the company's reputation
- Ensure public communications are managed effectively to maintain consistent and accurate messaging
- Perform any other corporate communication duties as assigned
Do you have experience in Marketing, Communications or PR?
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in external relations, media, corporate communications or public affairs under FMCG or retail industries.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, to create compelling messages, press releases
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software to track project progress and manage resources
- Familiarity with communication channels and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with media contracts, influencers, and stakeholders
- Proven capability to handle crises effectively, quickly assessing and responding to reputational issues, managing media inquiries, and developing crisis communication plans to mitigate potential damage.Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in evolving trends, technologies, and media landscapes, with a willingness to embrace new platforms and communication channels to effectively engage target audiences.
