Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting (North Asia & South East Asia and Africa). key responsibility of this roles is to:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

  • Be accountable for local financial book quality, ensure accuracy and compliance for all financial numbers’ submission to local/regional/global & sign off
  • Ensure control activities are in place, which include but not limited to plan & perform local stock count, cycle count review, physical asset audit & disposal of assets.
  • Create an on-going efficiency improvement culture and provide exceptional best service to the market
  • Liaise with external auditor (financial audit & sales audit) & ensure to meet local statutory requirements including preparation of audit planning/closing meeting
  • Resolve local coordination barrier within Finance Business Service team and other stakeholders related to financial accounting & reporting areas
  • Handle local specific procedures to comply with local regulatory requirements
  • Be the first contact point with local business, regional & global enquiry about the actual financial data/reports (partner with local business finance)

Tax:

  • Be the first contact point of the local tax authority for any tax enquiry with the help of Tax Centre of Excellence.
  • Liaise with external service providers (e.g. VAT service provider, local tax advisor, etc.) for annual tax review and other tax related topics
  • Work closely with Tax Centre of Excellence for creating CIT calculation and submission template
  • Prepare & submit CIT, VAT, WHT and TP calculation include handling tax treatment exception

Treasury:

  • Liaise with banks/merchants for varies operation support
  • Prepare dividend payment (if any)

Others:

  • Lead & drive other projects/assignments that can help the financial health of business (e.g. aged PO follow up, Coupa/Concur training with the help from finance operation team)
  • Prepare & submit insurance data, government surveys
  • Manage credit limit and stock release approval
  • Prepare varies license application (if any)
  • Staff benefit related tasks.   Track of staff purchase, dressing allowance and follow up with the users if necessary

Required Qualifications

  • University degree, Professional qualification holder (CPA/CA/ICAA) or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years working experience, inclusive of 3 years of managerial experience
  • Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
  • All round solid expertise in financial accounting & reporting and understanding of market specificities
  • Good communication skills are a must as key stakeholders would be Market CFO, Divisional Teams, Global Finance Team, Regional Finance Team, Internal Audit teams, External Auditors, Tax authority & tax consultants and Local bank
  • Fluent in English is a must
