Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for initiating, managing and implementing corporate communications projects and initiatives, and organising corporate events and activities. The Assistant Executive Manager plays a key role in the internal and external communication strategies of HKCAAVQ and is responsible for a portfolio of duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Provide editorial, proofreading and administrative support in the production of corporate communications materials such as videos, promotional brochures, annual reports, newsletters;
  • Translate publications, policy papers and guidelines from English to Chinese and vice versa;
  • Serve as secretary of internal committees;
  • Supervise and coordinate the organisation of corporate events and activities;
  • Review and maintain the content on the corporate website and intranet;
  • Draft speeches, prepare presentation materials and management reports for the senior management;
  • Monitor the compilation of newspaper clippings;
  • Handle enquiries and complaints from a wide spectrum of clients, public and the media;
  • Coordinate and execute other relevant projects.

 

Requirements

Applicants should possess a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5 preferably in languages, journalism, translation, communications/public relations, commerce and management, with at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in communications, media relations, client relationship management, events and promotional campaigns or public relations work. We are looking for a self-motivated, independent, analytical, and meticulous person who has an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong project management skills, communication, presentation, and problem solving skills; proficiency in MS Powerpoint, Excel, Access, Word; and experience in website content management. Being resourceful, proactive, flexible, independent as well as a team player is essential.  Work experience in the education, publishing or public administration sectors, and working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe or similar software is an advantage.

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal.  We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits.
