Senior Manager – Credit Control Department

Job Description:

As part of this role, you'll be supporting the Head, Credit Control Department in managing overdue payments and problematic loan portfolio. Your main goal is to reduce risks and boost the company's recovery efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Keep an eye on overdue loan portfolio and formulate appropriate recovery strategies and action plan for maximizing the recovery for the bank.
• Manage the collection process and track the progress by execute recovery plan including restructure plan, disposal of collateral, etc.
• Comply with Company policies when collecting payments.
• Negotiate with customers to settle debts.
• Help with inspections and monitor the sale of collateral.
• Attend meetings and court cases related to debt recovery.
• Work with external partners like legal firms and debt collectors.
• Monitor legal actions in Hong Kong and China.
• Assist in preparing reports for Management review.
• Perform ad hoc projects or assignment
   

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing collections or recovery for Non-Performing Loans in Equipment Financing, SME/Commercial loan portfolios and loan restructure implementation is a plus.
• Good understanding of credit risk across different industries and business segments.
• Sound knowledge of legal and regulatory requirement and banking practices on credit control management
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
