What you will be doing:
  • Establish strong working relationship as the primary contact point for businesses on financial performance related matters.
  • Work closely with business segments to review financial performance, set strategic targets in the annual operating plan, and follow up progress with forecast and projection.
  • Drive data-driven analysis to track and explain segment performance, e.g. identify and explain the business drivers, analyse trends, evaluate key performance indicators, etc.
  • Address business queries on Fund Transfer Pricing, Cost Allocation, Joint Income and other financial related matters.
  • Roll out dashboard reporting tools to business units to drive self-help analysis.
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense booking, income sharing, etc for accurate segment performance.
  • Collaborate with other teams in Finance and other departments locally, as well as Group Finance teams.
  • Support new projects and initiatives; Improve efficiency through streamlining of workflow and building greater degree of automation.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in management reporting and business performance analysis in reputable financial institutions, preferably with regional exposure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking products, and management reporting concepts such as internal fund transfer pricing and cost allocation
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability as a strong business partner
  • Resourceful in providing analytical tools and relevant solutions to address business requests
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and deep dive analysis;
  • Proficiency in MS Powerpoint or other dashboard tools for management presentation;
  • Good knowledge of visual analytics capability e.g. PowerBI or similar tools would be an advantage.
