Purpose of the role: 

To form & upkeep the robust General Ledger Systems (Kapiti GL, Oralce GL, Midas GL, Fusion GL) with proper internal control and reconciliations. To performs daily bank reconciliation to monitor the nostro transactions.

 

What you will be doing: 

GL Operations, Control & Reconciliation

  • Uphold General Ledger Systems (Kapiti, Oracle, Midas, Fusion) with good governance and controls and the execution of control measures
  • Ascertain the accuracy of financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations (sources to general ledger, clearing account reconciliations) and variance analysis
  • Control & monitor the suspense & temporary account
  • Participate in month-end closing activities
  • Maintain Chart of Account (CoA)

Nostro Reconciliation

  • Conduct daily Nostro bank reconciliations for multiple currency accounts.
  • Investigate outstanding and unidentifiable items with Nostro Agents or internal departments
  • Regularly pursue and escalate unresolved or long outstanding discrepancies following established protocols
  • Establish and enforce internal controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of the operations.
  • Identify areas of improvement and drive changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness with leveraging technology solutions, streamlining workflows or implementing best practices to optimize the processes.
  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
  • Participate in ad hoc assignments or other projects as assigned by the supervisor / management.

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
  • Professional qualifications in HKICPA or equivalent qualifications is preferable
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience of relevant experience, preferably in banking industry.
  • Experience in ERP and solid experience in Finance GL Operations are preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software and online platforms.
  • Careful and Circumspect.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to tasks and time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.
  • Willing to learn, Self-motivated, Self-discipline, Positive mindset.
  • Good communication & team spirit and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills, Project Implementation skills,
  • with the capacity to navigate through challenges and propose creative solutions.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
  • Candidate with less experience will consider as Manager.
