About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Projects, Intermediates Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for ramping up and growing BASF Intermediates’ technology licensing business in selected subregion of Asia Pacific, mainly India and ASEAN.
How You Will Do It
Develop customized technology license packages, including engineering services and catalysts supply, for licensees constructing production plants using BASF technologies
Build and maintain long-term relationships with industry partners (licensees, engineering partners, vendors) to enhance BASF’s business on a global scale
Collect, monitor, analyze and share competitive intelligence to gain competitive advantage for BASF
Represent BASF in industry associations, conferences, trade shows, customers events etc. through presenting technical and/or industry-relevant topics and networking
Collaborate with other BASF business units including Catalysts, Engineering, Intellectual Property and Global Intermediates Technology to present BASF’s package offerings to the licensees
Negotiate technology license contracts and ancillary agreements required to conclude licensing deals. Negotiations involve both technical and commercial aspects (e.g. license fee)
Work on special projects or initiatives as required
What We Look For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years experience in Engineering Service, preferably in petrochemical or chemical plants
Experience in technical marketing and sales with advanced negotiation skills
Extensive knowledge related to the engineering and design process of chemical plants
