The Department of History at The Chinese University of Hong Kong invites applications for the post of Assistant Lecturer in History, focusing on Modern China, Hong Kong and Gender.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline and will be responsible for (a) teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and general education courses in general Chinese history, modern China history, Hong Kong history, and gender history, all conducted in English; (b) conducting tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate courses; (c) coordinating academic activities including field trips and study tours; (d) supervising undergraduate final-year theses; and (e) undertaking administrative duties within the Department. Appointment will initially be made on fixed-term contract basis for up to two years, renewable by mutual agreement.
