Officially founded in 1977, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Press (CUHK Press) is a world-class English-Chinese bilingual publisher. With a reputation as a publishing powerhouse in China studies, it publishes about 60 new books per year and carries over 2,300 titles on its backlist.

 

The appointee will be responsible for (a) fostering and maintaining growth in sales channels (printed books and e-books) of different regions, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, USA, etc.; (b) preparing and maintaining reports related to sales operation; (c) working with people at different levels, including ground operation team and managerial staff, to perform sales-related duties; and (d) planning and conducting sales and promotion activities.

 

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 3 years’ related work experience; (iii) an energetic, self-motivated and customer-oriented work attitude; (iv) strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills; (v) experience in organising sales and promotion events; (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and (vii) proficiency in MS Office.

 

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
