The Role:

This role will focus on Digital Applications within the APAC region and has the opportunity to participate in cross-functional projects including but not limited to integration with CRM, retail solutions, and data solutions.

The APAC Digital Landscape includes E-Commerce Platforms and Mobile / Web Applications. The primary role of this person will be assigned to managing the existing Shopify Plus platform and participating in future development or enhancement of mobile applications.

The current Ecommerce stacks include: Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Shopify Plus. The role would be focusing on the Shopify stack initially with the ability to expand to SFCC.


What you will do:

Technical Lead:

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal parties to analyze technical needs and functional requirements and deliver required documents and innovative solutions that align with the group’s IT strategy and viable for operations
  • Lead technical discussions with vendors and internal IT team
  • Come up with technical design and architecture diagrams
  • Able to challenge vendors and deep dive into root cause analysis for issue resolution
  • Technically strong in Shopify Plus development
  • Technically strong in the latest PHP, VUE.JS/REACT development framework
  • Experience in mobile application development
  • Understanding of Cloud deployments, Docker Images, CI/CD, etc.

Vendor Management and Offshore Team Management:

  • Lead and manage 3rd party vendors to ensure delivery is on time
  • Review vendors’ deliverables and ability to challenge and raise concerns
  • Manage and work with offshore developers or QA, etc.

Support and Maintenance:

  • Manage the operational and functional support of Shopify and support end-users on their day-to-day activity directly or through the help of third-party partners
  • Manage functional and demand requests raised by E-Commerce teams in APAC
  • Ensure development of expertise and know-how of key users in APAC

Business Relationship Management:

  • Support Project Manager and IT leaders on technical aspect communications with APAC stakeholders including E-Commerce teams, CRM Teams, Retail teams, APAC IT, Group IT
  • Provide visibility of maintenance and enhancement on Shopify Plus, SFCC, etc. to regional and local E-Commerce teams
  • Be aware of the latest APAC digital trends to propose potential improvement ideas


What we are looking for:

  • University degree
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Technical Lead, Enterprise Architect role in developing Digital Applications including E-Commerce and Mobile App from retail, FMCG or related industries
  • Solid understanding of process design, methodology and tools (Shopify, SFCC, API)
  • Experience in integration with heterogeneous Systems (CRM, POS, ESB/API) will be a plus
  • Strong collaboration with different stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and additional Asian languages will be beneficial
