The Role:

This role will focus on leading and taking full responsibility for digital-related applications within the APAC region and has an opportunity to participate in cross-functional projects including but not limited to integration with E-Commerce, ERP, Mobile Apps and data solutions.

The APAC Digital Landscape includes E-Commerce Platforms and Mobile / Web Applications.

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Shopify Plus for multi-brands’ brand.com
  • Market places in different local markets including Lazada, Shopee, Momo, etc.
  • Mobile application development for e-shop or loyalty applications



What you will do:

Domain Leadership and Ownership:

  • Take ownership of IT domain for Digital applications (E-Com & Mobile / Web)
  • Proven and solid experience managing similar domain in retail companies
  • Essential technical know-how in understanding the latest technology trends in Digital IT
  • Support APAC CIO to drive digital transformation in own domain as well as cross domains and on a regional scale

Team Management and Resources Planning:

  • Manage and embrace a team of diversity and culture differences
  • Responsible for team resources planning to ensure work efficiency and productivity

Vendor Management and Offshore Team Management:

  • Lead and manage 3rd party vendors to ensure delivery is on time
  • Review vendors’ deliverables and ability to challenge and raise concerns
  • Manage and work with offshore developers or QA, etc.
  • Must have experience working and managing offshore development teams

Program / Project Management and Delivery:

  • Be program / project manager for digital projects and lead teams for project delivery
  • Organize project steering committees, advise, and review the plan and status of projects
  • Track project risks and decide on corrective measures to minimize impact on cost and delay
  • Manage portfolio under own domain and ensure project delivery on quarterly review basis
  • Coordination and liaison between Central Digital, APAC and local E-Commerce teams (e.g. Cross system UAT session, shared functionalities, etc)
  • Escalate promptly to seek advice and alignment

Support and Maintenance:

  • Review and revise the existing working model and propose improvement plans
  • Lead and manage the operational and functional support of digital applications and support end-users on their day-to-day activity directly or through the help of third-party partners
  • Manage functional and demand requests raised by digital / e-commerce teams in APAC
  • Run regular BAU ticket analysis with the team and guide the team with RCA approach

Internal Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate with stakeholders including GMs, Digital / E-Commerce, APAC IT, Local IT, Group IT
  • Provide visibility of maintenance and enhancement on Digital projects to key stakeholders
  • Keep updated on APAC IT projects to propose potential improvement ideas

IT Internal Governance and PMO:

  • Participate and drive team engagement
  • Contribute to internal IT PMO processes and functions
  • Responsible for IT budgeting for own domain and ensure cost-effectiveness



What we are looking for:

  • University degree
  • 8+ years of experience in working in a Senior Manager / Manager role in developing Digital Applications including E-Commerce and Mobile / Web applications from retail, FMCG or related industries
  • Solid understanding of process design, methodology and tools
  • Must have experience working and managing offshore development teams
  • Experience managing offshore teams for delivering E-Commerce projects
  • Experience rolling out large-scale digital projects including E-Commerce, Mobile or Web Applications, ideally regional coverage
  • Essential functional and technical know-how of implementing E-Commerce platforms (either Shopify or Salesforce Commerce or both)
  • Essential functional and technical know-how in developing Mobile applications
  • Experience in integration with heterogeneous Systems (Retail POS, CRM, Marketing Automation, ERP, ESB/API) will be a plus
  • Strong collaboration with different stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and additional Asian languages will be beneficial
