We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Specialist to join a leading quant fund’s HK office and lead talent acquisition efforts for division in Asia. This role will focus on building out front-office teams, including Portfolio Managers (PMs), Quants, and Strategists, while collaborating closely with HR and business leaders in HK and other regions. The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage end-to-end recruitment in a fast-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for roles across front-office , Portfolio managers, Quant Researcher, and occasional Tech/back-office hires. Source and attract high-caliber candidates with experience in quantitative strategies, hedge funds, or related fields, leveraging both agency partnerships and direct sourcing methods (e.g., referrals, cold outreach, network mapping).
Partner with HR on compensation benchmarking and offer negotiations, ensuring competitive packages that align with industry standards.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates, with a focus on Equity Long/Short, Macro, and data/quant expertise.
Conduct initial screenings and coordinate multi-stage interviews with key stakeholders, including leadership team and Portfolio Managers.
Support the onboarding of new PMs and their teams, particularly as expansion accelerates in HK over the next few months.
Stay attuned to market trends and competitor landscapes to inform recruitment strategies.
Collaborate with HK-based CRM, HR, and HRBP teams to streamline processes, though day-to-day HR tasks are not required.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; prior Talent Acquisition (TA) background not required.
Minimum of 6 years in related fields, ideally within financial services or hedge funds
Proven ability to source and engage senior talent; strong networking skills with hedge fund ecosystems (e.g., Prime, RM/Sales, or quant-focused professionals) adept at managing ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.
Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred (not mandatory) to support HK-based quant teams.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and open-minded with a solutions-oriented approach; comfortable working independently in Asia while collaborating with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications Exposure to quantitative hedge funds or financial institutions is preferred.
Experience supporting Portfolio Managers or building specialized teams in a hub location is preferred.
Established network with professionals in Equity Long/Short, Macro, or data-driven strategies is a plus.
