Overall Purpose of the Role
The Senior Global Logistics Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the company's global logistics operations to ensure seamless supply chain management, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for leading strategic initiatives, implementing modern technologies, and driving transformational change within the logistics function to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Accountabilities – Key Result Areas
Drive the transformation of the company's supply chain management through modern and up-to-date processes and technologies.
Lead strategic initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Lead the Procurement Logistics Department, focusing on training the team to become knowledgeable logistics experts.
Ensure timely completion of tenders with competitive rates and identify long-term partners for major markets.
Optimize logistics operations by identifying improvement opportunities and conducting market analysis.
Strengthen logistics knowledge within the team through sharing insights and fostering collaboration.
Lead teams to adopt technologies such as RPA, AI, and VBA scripts to drive measurable efficiency gains and cost savings.
Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements to streamline order management processes.
Drive the implementation of automation projects to save time and resources.
Train stakeholders to respond quickly to market challenges and foster long-term partnerships with logistics service providers.
Monitor logistics performance metrics and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze operation reports to review performance and implement enhancements.
Strategically review and adjust the global logistics network in response to market dynamics and trade considerations.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient transportation and distribution processes, optimizing costs and service levels.
Direct warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics. Implement best practices to enhance productivity and accuracy.
