Highway Contract no.: 14/HY/2024 Highways Department Term Contract (Management and Maintenance of Roads on Hong Kong Island excluding Expressways and High Speed Roads 2025 – 2030)

We are looking for a Senior Vegetation Inspection Officer (SVIO) to oversee the management and maintenance of vegetation in highway-registered slopes and designated planted areas.

Responsibilities:

Supervise Routine Horticultural Inspections (RHI) and Horticultural Maintenance Operations (HMO).
Oversee Tree Risk Assessments and ensure mitigation measures are in place.
Identify and manage Old and Valuable Trees (OVT) and potential registrable trees.
Provide expert advice on vegetation maintenance and tree-related complaints.
Conduct inspections and reports after severe weather events.
Monitor and inspect Category I Zone Area trees and advise on arboricultural works.

Requirements:

Registered Arborist under the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (Development Bureau).
Strong knowledge of local tree management regulations and best practices.
