Reports to: Operations Manager - The Champion Sports Bar
Role Introduction:
As the Captain - The Champion Sports Bar, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Champion Sports Bar, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, and managing the casual staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and welcome all guests to the Sports Bar, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
Manage the daily operations of The Champion Sports Bar, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and supervision of casual servers and bartenders.
Ensure smooth and efficient food and beverage service delivery during events and peak periods, working closely with the bartenders and servers.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and beverage products, coordinate with suppliers, and manage ordering and receiving.
Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food and beverage service, including food safety and quality control.
Train and coach casual servers and bartenders on service standards, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques.
Enforce compliance with local health and safety regulations, and the company's policies and procedures.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in The Champion Sports Bar, including service areas, storage, and equipment.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager - The Champion Sports Bar on the development and execution of marketing initiatives, promotions, and themed events.
Monitor customer feedback, address complaints, and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
Assist in the coordination of food and beverage requirements and setup for specific events in the stadium.
Foster a positive work culture and team spirit among the Sports Bar staff, encouraging open communication and a customer-centric approach.
Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the Sports Bar's operations and financial performance.
Demonstrate a passion for sports and actively follow various sporting events and leagues.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a sports bar, casual dining, or similar high-volume food and beverage service environment.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, cost control, and staff scheduling.
Proven experience in leading and training casual servers and bartenders, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Familiarity with local health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the bar and entertainment industry.
A passion for sports and a keen understanding of various sporting events and leagues.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual in English and Cantonese, with the ability to understand and communicate in both languages.

The 28 hectare park will be part of the redevelopment on the site of the old Hong Kong International Airport in Kai Tak. Kai Tak Sports Park Ltd (KTSPL) has been awarded the contract to undertake this project.
