Project Title: Big data in Social Sciences Research Cluster - Infrastructure Building
[Appointment Period: 12 months]
The project aims to set up a big data infrastructure and compile relevant data for facilitating systematic research for our University-level strategic research initiative. The appointee is required to provide administrative and operational support to carry out the project. He/she will be responsible for conducting literature review, developing research materials, assisting in the coordination and administrative work of the project, supporting data collection and data analysis, writing papers for conference and manuscripts, writing reports, and performing any other duties as assigned by the project team. The appointment will be 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to review.
For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, public health, data science or related disciplines with some research experience. For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have at least Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics in HKDSE; or Grade E (Level 2) or above in five subjects including Chinese, English (Syllabus B) and Mathematics in HKCEE or equivalent. Applicants should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), self-motivation, and the ability to work independently, preferably with some experience in supporting research and training programmes.
