Li Ren Center (立人中心) – Wellbeing and Inclusion. Li Ren works holistically to support students with their learning and social emotional development. Offering a wide range of provision and services, Li Ren is a through school department working with students, parents and the ISF community.

We are now seeking a self-driven, passionate and experienced candidate to fill the following position:

Responsibilities:

  • The Inclusive Education Aide is to support an individual Primary School student in class and during non‐structured times at school. He/ She has to work closely with the student’s teachers, parents and the Li Ren team to implement the individualized support plan;
  • Build strong rapport and positive relationship with the identified student;
  • Help or teach the student to communicate his/her emotions and needs using appropriate means;
  • Support class teachers in the implementation of differentiated learning and support strategies;
  • Work in partnership with Teachers and Li Ren to implement aspects of learning plans for the student;
  • Communicate regularly with Assistant Principal Primary, Li Ren and Teachers, and also with parents;
  • Document the students’ progress clearly and participate in the case review actively making suggestions;
  • Respect confidentiality and be diligent on the information sharing or release when working with different people; and
  • Attend case conference and meetings as required, and actively seek in house Professional Development or professional learning opportunities in the field of learning diversity.

Requirements:

  • Adequate knowledge in inclusive education and training in specialized intervention, for instance, Applied Behavioral Analysis, social thinking, sensory integration, etc.;
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, i.e. be able to relate well with the student, Teachers and parents;
  • Demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability to sensibly adjust the intensity of support required in class; and
  • Empathic understanding, hardworking and patient.
  • Preferred: Fluent in English and Chinese (Putonghua) communications;
